Peer Support Program Peer Support Program

Hello alumni and Gamma Space members! We're looking for Peer Supports to join Cohort 6 of the Baby Ghosts Peer Accelerator.

How It Works

Peer Supports will apply individually to join Cohort 6; however, you'll be working with one other person to support your assigned studio. We're happy to pair you with someone else from your studio if two of you apply.

New for Cohort 6: The program length is 10 weeks, instead of 6 months.

Compensation

The total compensation for the program is $2,000 CAD per person (about $50 per hour).

NOTE: The compensation is paid out in two installments: $1,000 CAD at the start of the program and $1,000 CAD at the end of the program.

Dates

  • Peer Support Applications Open: January 22, 2026
  • Peer Support Applications Close: February 4, 2026

Time Commitment

Being a Peer Support for a Baby Ghosts Peer Accelerator cohort is a significant commitment of about 40 hours per individual. Here's what you can expect:

  • Planning meetings, application reviews, and interviews
  • Weekly studio sessions, workshops, and presentations
  • Short weekly checkins and debriefs with the Peer Support team
  • Hanging out with the cohort on Slack and joining social activities

What is a Peer Support?

Being a Peer Support for a Baby Ghosts Peer Accelerator cohort is different than being a "mentor." We're not expecting you to have all the answers, but to work with teams using Baby Ghosts' guidance and materials to support them in studio development. We don't teach game development, although we love having supports who understand game dev. We're looking for applicants who are interested in cooperative and worker-centric worker models.

We're looking for folks who are able to contribute time, have a values-driven approach to sharing knowledge, and have strong interpersonal skills.

Currently, we're only accepting applications from program alumni and Gamma Space co-op members.
