Learn about joining our Peer Support program to provide tailored mentorship and support to underrepresented game developers and founders in Canada.

Being a Peer Support for a Baby Ghosts Peer Accelerator cohort is a significant commitment. Here’s a rough breakdown of the time you’ll be expected to put in over the course of the six-month program.

  • Planning meetings: Over the summer, we get you familiar with our curriculum, and you’ll contribute to updates and refinements. (6 hours)
  • Reviewing applications: Reading each application and providing comments based on your experience and expertise. (4 hours)
  • Sitting in on interviews: Join our staff to meet shortlisted applicants. (7.5 hours)
  • Applicant selection meeting: Go over all applications using our scoring rubric. (2 hours)
  • Weekly studio sessions: During Stage 1, these are on Wednesdays. In Stage 2, you’ll schedule with your team. (24 hours)
  • Prep for studio sessions: Preparation of materials (such as a Miro board), exercises, and agenda. (24 hours)
  • Workshop/presentation: We ask all our Peer Supports to share their skills with the whole cohort. (2 hours)
  • Prep for workshop: You’ll need time to put a workshop together! (4 hours)
  • Peer Support group debriefs: Monthly sessions for us to catch up as a group. (10 hours)
  • Extra time for activities: Join our social and networking events for the cohort. (6 hours)
  • Extra time on Slack working with peers: Responding to posts and questions when you have time. (16 hours)

Not sure if you can commit to this level of involvement? That’s okay! We’re always looking for folks who can contribute in other ways. If you’re interested in helping out, get in touch.
